Originally entitled "Van Hagar" and was going to be a song about a guy being dumped for, well, Sammy Hagar. Fortunately, things changed and the title track for this album was born. No, I was not referencing U2's "Vertigo" with the "hello hello" part: more like "Stories for Boys"
lyrics
Say hello to strangers
Say hello to Strangers
Cuz you never know who you will meet
It might be the one you oughta greet, oh yeah
Your parents always told you to keep your head down
But you ought to lift your head up to see who you found
It’s a crazy world that you should really see
With lots of maniacs and people just like me, oh yeah
So when you’re on the street and lookin down below
Just lift your head up and scream hello!
