Say hello to strangers Say hello to Strangers Cuz you never know who you will meet It might be the one you oughta greet, oh yeah Your parents always told you to keep your head down But you ought to lift your head up to see who you found It’s a crazy world that you should really see With lots of maniacs and people just like me, oh yeah So when you’re on the street and lookin down below Just lift your head up and scream hello!

And I woke up this morning in a stranger’s bed There were little white dots dancing over my head The alarm clock is blinking seven twenty two And I don’t know what to do There’s a naked girl snoring soundly asleep She is covered in tattoos and one of them is a sheep I think her name is Jesse, but I haven’t a clue And I don’t know what to do I don’t remember what happened last night at all But now here I am stuck in this mess, my back is against the wall Should I grab my pants and run away? Should I crawl back in bed and just stay? How does anyone fare with the morning after? So my cellphone starts humming a familiar tone It’s my girl on the line, asking why I’m not home I try to quiet the sound, but it’s no use at all Cause the girl in the bed woke up thanks to the call Now I’m trapped in the hands of a girl I do not know I have no other option except to freeze and say “hello” Should I grab my pants and run away? Should I crawl back in bed and just stay? How does anyone fare with the morning after?

Lucio Fulci 02:31
On a grey rainy Friday night My girl and I are clueless There are very few options for young lovers in this town So I browse through the DVDs And find a film by Lucio Fulci Zombi, it ends in ‘i,’ it’s a horror, and we’re down Blood as red as my love for you And I would fight a shark too If I were a zombie in a room full of girls I would lurch and crawl towards you first We got no time for comedies And no patience for action The shittier the actress, the better it gets So give me the chainsaw And throw me an arm And a leg and a head with no remorse and no regrets
4.
Mixtape 02:55
Spent the day making you a mixtape I hope you love it Put a lot of effort sequencing the songs That stuff is tough Put all your favorite bands in this mixtape I think I got them I know you’re really big into the Cure Nothing too rough If your life needs a soundtrack Let me score it for you Just gimme a couple of days And I’ll give it to you Every single song inside this mixtape They have a meaning Like “She Is Beautiful” by Andrew W.K. That’s how I feel And the outside of the whole mixtape I decorated Put some star stickers on the sides Colored it teal
5.
Astronaut 02:05
My father used to be an astronaut He used to always see the faraway worlds we could never see My father used to bring us moon rocks home Until that fateful day when he lost control to float away Gonna be an astronaut To bring him home I often heard the tales of outer space Black holes that would eat you up and g-forces that could make you throw up I often heard the tales of long lost men Circling round the moons of Mars my dad was last seen around Mars
6.
Toronto 01:56
He is lost without the love Toronto took away A trip he thought would last a week Now it’s been over 40 days Called her cell but to no avail She’s vanished from the face of his earth Never to return In Toronto she has found her worth Opened her eyes in the great white north Opened her eyes Standing at the borderline He is wishing for another try Another moment with the love Underneath the Canadian sky
7.
You try to say bad things about him But you don’t know what to say He’s the biggest heart in the entire room If you fell off the world’s tallest building He would jump to save your life He’s the biggest heart in the entire room He is a mystery A straight line with no crookery I wonder what is his story He is real or imaginary He’s always ready to lend a hand Even when a hand doesn’t need the help He’s the biggest heart in the entire room When you’re down and out and in a hole He’ll brave the dirt to lift you up He’s the biggest heart in the entire room He is a mystery Does he have his own misery? He is really truly ornery? Or just very sugary?
8.
Pills, they line your living room Shady souls urge you to stay Fame, it hangs in the balance Hoping to live one more day Tabloids follow your downfall Pictures of you in a daze Power players take notice Burn your name up in a blaze Parties are your churches Praying at the altar of sin Losing yourself in the neon lights Throwing yourself into the spin You used to be so normal Until the stardust hit your eyes Stars that burn the brightest Become the blackest holes But you never take notice To you they are unlucky souls Cars, you crash in seconds Money you blow in stacks Bridges you burn so blindly Friends you stab in the back Walking towards destruction You call it reinvention Your star lost ascension Just bringing it to your attention
9.
Turn the lights on. I wanna see my fucking friends.
10.
She was there when the walls fell down She was there when they took the state Standing there in the gloom of a dark day She was warning us, she was warning us That the path we all are taking She’s raising her voice, though we wouldn’t listen anyway Come to your senses Realize what you’re doing is no good Can you see the mess that you’ve all made I scream at your minds, your thoughtless minds, thoughtless minds Come to your senses now Little voices always grow big soon But will it be too late Progressive thoughts always gain the ground But will it manage to relate She was warning us, she was warning us That the path we all are taking She’s raising her voice, though we wouldn’t listen anyway
11.
Remember the days when we were young When we laughed at John Candy Armed and Dangerous, Harry Crumb Nothing But Trouble and Uncle Buck All these memories I cherish I cherish All these memories I cherish I cherish Remember the days when we were young When we laughed at John Candy Remember the days when we were young When nothing ever died

about

Right from the start, I wanted to do something different. So, I learned to take my time. The journey of "Say Hello To Strangers" begins in May of 2009, when, after completing the "Evolutia/Devolutia" project, I began to work on an album of new material. With the songs set and, for the first time, a producer in tow (Scotty Connolly), I began recording songs like I normally do. Thing is, instead of whipping out tracks using the first or second take, I started to test my abilities with multiple takes reaching into the double digits in count (in addition, I would test my patience). As a result, songs were compressed, ideas were thrown away, new dreams were conjured, and fuzz pedals were toyed with. An album that would have normally taken a month to complete suddenly started to become two months, which became three months, and so on. When it was completed, though, I knew I had something special and different.

Packed into 20 minutes, the final product of 8 tracks is the tightest selection of songs I've ever released; no filler, no half-assed tunes, just lean and mean songs that fulfill their individual goals. In my opinion, this is album where I finally GET IT. The additional 6 bonus tracks of outtakes and b-sides exhibit what was played around with, but ultimately denied from the official cut.

This deluxe edition is a widescreen view of the whole project, from my attempts at writing a total heavy album in the beginning, to the conclusion where I finally manage to streamline my sound, my vision into everything that is essential. "Say Hello To Strangers" is the sound of Penny Racer meeting the stranger of time, and the benefits one has in properly utilizing it.
